PFLAG (Fort Wayne Chapter)

PFLAG Fort Wayne offers a non-judgmental outlet that can help you realize you are not alone with your questions and your feelings. Both families and g/l/b/t individuals go through a similar process before they learn more and become more accepting and loving of themselves and one another. We provide direct support to people needing answers to their questions with our ongoing sharings, video presentations, lending library, and speakers. Through understanding we become more accepting and loving.

Fort Wayne Area Bears

Fort Wayne Area Bears is a social group for gay and bisexual men that describe themselves as bears, cubs, chubs and admirers. This group is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana and welcomes men from Fort Wayne and the surrounding area.

Our goal is to develop and provide a friendly atmosphere in which our group can interact on a social level. To that end we promote regular activities and encourage the group to engage in social activities with one another.

We are not a dating service and do not promote activities of that nature.

Our group is open only to men who are 18 years of age or older. We expect everyone to treat each other with courtesy and respect and encourage all to join us and share the joy that like-minded men can have in a fun social setting. Visit their group here:

Sophia's Portico

Sophia's Portico

A Feminine Spirituality Center - For More Than 20 years!
Sophia's Portico, Inc., established in 1992, is an art and spirituality center focusing on the development of the feminine through education, the arts and earth-based spirituality.

Our education component consists of book discussions, workshops and presentations. In the area of arts, we sponsor an annual Winter Art Fair and "hands-on" programs. Art and spirituality inform one another and are integral in the development of the human person.

Our earth-based spirituality focuses on the celebration of the Winter and Summer Solstices, the Autumn and Spring Equinoxes and the cross-quarter days of Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas and Samhain.  We are unique in this area as very few groups offer these celebrative opportunities.  We are inclusive of creeds, cultures, genders and races and seek to nurture spiritual growth in an atmosphere of peace, freedom, dignity and justice.
